💳 How do I sign up?
It’s easy to save your spot!
Click "I'm IN Krash Sign Me Up" and pay the $300/ person or $900/villa non-refundable first payment to reserve your room.
Then fill out the form after check out.
We’ll follow up to finalize your payment or payment plan within 24 hours via text and email.
You’ll have 72 hours days to complete your booking—after that, your deposit may be forfeited and your spot opened back up.
💬 Is it okay if I come alone?
Absolutely. So many of our skaters come solo and leave with lifelong friends. We’ll match you with a roommate if needed, and the community vibes start the moment you sign up. By the end of the week, you won’t feel solo at all—you’ll feel seen, supported, and celebrated.
👫 What if I want to bring friends?
Hell yes, bring your crew! You can book a full villa or block out multiple rooms for your league mates or besties. We’ll make sure your pack stays together. You only need to put down 1 deposit to hold the villa. So just one of your group needs to do the initial sign up. Villas will be paid as a whole so please have ONE person in chanre of making payments.
📆 Is there a payment plan?
Yes! We offer payment plans up to 9 months to make this dream trip more accessible. Payment plans may include a small processing fee $25-50/month depending on your room type. If you are signing up as a group, please have ONE point person for payments.
❌ What if I need to cancel?
This retreat is non-cancelable and non-refundable, including your initial reservation payment. Please be absolutely sure you can commit before booking—just like derby, this trip requires full dedication. We recommend purchasing travel insurance in case life throws a blocker your way.
🚌 How do the shuttles work?
Airport Shuttle:
We’ve got you! A complimentary group shuttle will be provided to and from the Managua Airport (MGA). Shuttle times will be based on average guest arrival/departure windows and announced 1–2 months before the retreat.
✈️ Heads up: There may be some waiting at the airport for group pickup. Flight delays or changes that affect shuttle coordination cannot be reimbursed. If you prefer private transport, we’ll connect you with a trusted driver at your own expense.
Daily Shuttle Service:
We’ll take care of getting you to and from town for optional excursions and exploring. Want to rent a board, grab a smoothie, or hit the surf? We’ve got wheels to get you there.
🛼 Do we skate every day?
We pack in a ton of skating—but we also know rest is a weapon. There will be between 5-10 on and off skates classes and workshops each day to choose form. You’ll have the option to do as much or as little as you want. We are happy to help you book an excursion, get a massage, lay by the pool, or do absolutely nothing. The schedule is powerful and flexible.
🧠 What level skater do I need to be?
We recommend this retreat for intermediate to advanced skaters who have been cleared for contact and scrimmage by their league. You don’t need to be an MVP (yet), but you should be confident in your ability and able to hold your own on the track.
Still unsure? Shoot me an email at krissykrash@gmail.com and we’ll figure it out together.
🛬 What airport do I fly into?
Please book your flights to Augusto C. Sandino International Airport (MGA) in Managua, Nicaragua. That’s where our courtesy group shuttle will pick you up. We’ll share suggested arrival and departure windows once the trip is closer! No need to book this now.
🎒 What do I need to pack?
You’ll receive a full packing list a few weeks before the retreat, but here’s a heads up:
Your full set of derby gear (helmet, pads, skates, mouthguard, etc.)
Hot-weather athletic clothes
Bathing suits + beach gear
Comfortable shoes for excursions
🛟 Is travel insurance required?
While it’s not mandatory, we highly recommend purchasing travel insurance that includes trip cancellation, lost baggage, and medical coverage—just in case. We can't offer refunds, so this protects your travel portion of your investment if something unexpected comes up.
🤕 What if I get injured and can’t skate?
We will have medical staff on sight. And we will help you get to a local medical facility. NOTE: Any medical services or travel to medical servies will be at cost to you. That said, we still don’t offer refunds, so we suggest travel insurance just in case.
This retreat is about more than just skating. You’ll still have access to all the mindset sessions, off-skates workshops, adventures, and community events.
🌐 Do I need a passport or visa?
Yes! You must have a valid passport to travel to Nicaragua.
Most countries (including the U.S., Canada, and many EU nations) do not require a visa to enter for short stays. But double-check the rules for your country just to be safe.
💁♀️ Is this retreat just for women?
This Derby in Paradise retreat is designed specifically for women and nonbinary skaters who feel at home in women-centered spaces.
We created this first edition with that focus to foster connection, safety, and shared experience among those who are often underrepresented in sports.
That said—we absolutely plan to offer mixed-gender retreats in the future, and we’d love to skate with you then! If you want to be the first to know when those open, shoot us an email or DM and we’ll make sure you’re on the list.
